About this tool
Speed Reading Trainer uses Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSVP) to help you read faster by flashing one word at a time at your chosen WPM. The Optimal Recognition Point (ORP) — 30% from the left of each word — is highlighted in red so your eye stays fixed. Choose a sample passage or paste your own text, set your WPM from 100 to 1000, then read. After finishing you get a comprehension quiz. Chunk mode shows 2-3 words at a time for a natural feel.
How to use
- 1 Paste your text or choose a sample passage.
- 2 Set your target WPM with the slider (start low and build up).
- 3 Press Start to begin RSVP — red-highlighted letter marks the ORP.
- 4 Use Pause / Resume as needed; Reset returns to the beginning.
- 5 After finishing, answer the comprehension questions to check retention.
